Co-invest Salaries
Any recent data points on salaries for PE co-invest associates? Specifically at larger, more institutional shops.
Understanding there's a haircut to regular PE, but would be good to pin a number on it. Would it be reasonable/feasible to negotiate to $125K base and ~$75-100K bonus assuming a typical 2-3 year IB background?
From another thread - $125 base + 75% bonus
And if base is higher, same 75% of base rule for the bonus

Coming from non IB ~$70k-$90k base is standard, but can depend on where you're located, coming from MM or BB IB you can expect ~$125k for either one I'd assume 20%-40% bonus on a normal year. You can also generally invest in your firms funds earlier on a no fee/no carry basis
75-90k base for an associate is low imo. Currently a lot a shop that does co-investments and we have analysts at 90-100k base but lower bonus than what's being stated above.
Interesting, is your co-invest team exclusively in NYC? Myself and peers I've talked to are all in T2 cities
Yes, but still the 70-90k seems low for an associate compared to what I’ve heard from others but primarily in cities like NYC/CHI/Boston
