Comp for investment role at Renewable Developer
Thinking about joining a renewable developer in an investment seat as an associate. Can anyone point towards what expected compensation looks like in this type of role, base and bonus, and if there's any carried interest involved in these sort of shops?
bump, been seeing more and more of these roles cross my eyes recently.
Bump
Big shops won't give you carried interest. It's gonna be a salary + bonus corporate role. Maybe you could get equity at a very small shop?
For 1st year associate (assuming there's an analyst role), I'd expect salary to be anywhere from 100-140k and bonus 20-40%. All depending on shop. Some may pay higher like DESRI, but hours probably worse.
You won't be working banking hours at a renewables developer. But it'll also be more than a 40/hr week, especially during deal closing.
100-140K for a HCOL city like NYC?
