Consequences of reneging PE associate offer
IB has made me realize I don’t want to do PE. I signed a large cap PE offer during on cycle before I even started my job. What are the professional consequences if I renege?
Won’t be a big deal especially if you’re not going to a different firm. Plenty of other candidates who’d love the seat.
Not much, but don’t expect to work with that headhunter or fund again.
