Consultant friendly MM PE firms

Second year at MBB looking at one-off recruiting for MM PE starting in 2016.

Wanted to get a list of consultant-friendly firms and the corresponding search firms they use. Some examples would be:

Any other firms with strong reputations this community can recommend?

Thanks!

Bain Capital and Silver Lake are definitely not middle market...but I would reiterate that Golden Gate Capital is definitely a big one for MBB. A way that you can verify this is by going to the different fund websites and looking at the team page to see where their current associates previously worked.

Francisco Partners, JMI Equity, Calera Partners - West Coast shops that have taken significant # of MBB in the past. Would encourage you not to be too hung up on the concept on "consultant friendly" however. At EOD most shops do similar things, and if you're reasonably competent you will be able to pick it up

What is the comp, comp trajectory, and career trajectory like for a consultant that lands an operations role that is not investment committee track?

I know that ParkerGale is hiring a consultant associate right now. They just completed a fund raise of ~250MM.
