Court Square in 2026

Looks like their recruiting process is soon to kick off for all verticals. Older threads say sweaty, old school culture but good brand.

Any more recent insights to culture / exits / compensation / fund performance would be great.

How does it compare to GI AEA Providence THL who have all had challenges? How would you rank those and is it worth doing a 2 year program?

Those are larger than Court Square is presently, so higher bases from which they started their decline. THL is probably the best positioned given they have already raised nearly 5bn for their latest fund, even if their fund before that is bottom quartile. GI and AEA have struggling to raise for a while, and think Providence halved in fund size for their latest one.

Lots of funds in the lower UMM range of 4-6bn fund size is struggling, espeically the legacy ones. The number of funds in that range doing well is probably lower than the number who are struggling to raise.

Their fundraise is going well and portfolio is solid. Culture is highly team dependent but that’s typical. Look to the Forbes article from a few days ago for firms actually at death’s door…
