CPA status but not kept up with continuing ed

Weird question for you all: Used to work in one of the Big Fours for a year and did banking and currently working for PE/VC. Passed all the CPA parts and got my license but haven't been keeping up with all the CPEs. Not planning to work in accounting in the foreseeable future. Is it worth even keeping the title on my resume? Is the CPA title valuable for the HF/PE world? The registration fees now are over $100 / year. If yes, what is the most efficient way to knock out those CPE classes?

Many thanks
