Creative ideas around IB to PE move with pending bonus?

I'm currently a VP at a LMM IB going through final reference checks to make a jump over to VP at a LMM PE firm. I'm in a situation where at my current firm 2023 bonuses were delayed because cash is low (long story), and they will be paid out when one large pending deal closes. This is a cross-border deal awaiting non-US regulatory approval, most likely to happen in Sep-Oct. Given it's now mid-June, the PE firm seems like they could await my start date until around Labor Day, but wouldn't want to wait until possibly as late as end of October (I'd have to give 2 weeks notice after my bonus clears). Bonus is $300K (in writing), so not insignificant and not something I'd want to walk away from. Still haven't had the comp discussion with the PE firm.

Given all this and trying to think ahead, are there any creative ways to retain some or all of this bonus? Don't think a straight buyout by the PE firm is in the cards, but are there any deferred compensation structures that people have negotiated? Any other avenues I'm not thinking of?
