I will be joining a MF credit buy side role as an analyst after a year of experience out of undergrad. Is it possible/at all common to internally switch at any point (whether that’s 1 year or 5 years down the road) to PE? PE always interested me and I am wondering if it’s still a possibility on this current trajectory or if I’d have to get an MBA… please let me know your thoughts and whether you’ve seen this transition. It is possible. But mostly if you go for lower fund sizes. With MF credit, you‘ll have a good starting point.
