CVC -> PE

Hey guys,

Short question here: How can I switch my career from CVC to PE?

I've just graduated with engineering major from one of the top schools in Hong Kong a year ago and joined a small size CVC in HK. The fund is small in size and there are limited stakes in it's portfolio and we focus more on synergy collaboration between the main business of the group.

I want to work more on deals and I am currently looking for ways to land in a PE firm eventually. I saw many suggests that the road to PE are so fixed and it is most likely IB -> PE before MBA. Based on my situation, is it possible for me to change to IB and then PE? If so, how should I do so? Is it beneficial to take CFA/ FRM
