Would it be possible to move from a corporate banking analyst role to a private debt fund? Wouldn't really care what kind of fund as long as it was strictly first lien senior debt. It should be noted that at my bank (notch below BB), the IB and CB are technically seperate, although we have a fair amount of ex IB guys and regularly lead large corporate deals. Thanks

I don't know a whole lot about debt funds, but my guess would be there aren't a whole lot of private debt funds that only do first lien senior debt. I would think that space would be pretty well covered by firms like the one you currently work at, idk tho
