Does anyone else hate DealCloud?
Title says it all really, constantly being chased by random people in our back office or former consultants I had no idea even existed to move stuff from Stage 3 - Preliminary Work to Stage 4 - Diligence (how the fuck does this create value for LPs). Clunkiest system I’ve ever seen.
I did a summer internship working in GTM team at a growth stage startup. Was then exposed to Salesforce.
Any CRM since then has been simply wonderful. So no, I don't hate DealCloud because of good ol SFDC.
It’s really not that hard to update your pipeline.
On the LP question — having deal flow metrics of volume, sector, stage, and by fund is huge for fundraising.
It's a subpar platform, at best. It's clunky, reporting sucks, sync'ing sucks with Outlook - there has to be a better way.
