The more I read about it the more this pulls me away from real estate. Anyone here ever done it or know somebody who has done it. Is there a path you think that gets you ready for it (Banking, Consulting, etc) or is it just a matter of saving money up and buying some shit?

I think consulting and banking probably useful but more important that you find something you can enjoy day to day. Too many people glorifying entrepreneurship when in reality they just buy themselves a job...
Yup. It's really not worth being an entrepreneur unless you're making really good money. Too much risk.
