EQT Update 2024

Anyone have any recent information EQT’s culture / lifestyle / comp for juniors? Curious specifically about NYC. Have not seen anything recent in here about them. Have heard they are building out their US practice considerably. Really wondering if they are as sweaty as all the other megafunds, seems like a good place to be but would love to hear some thoughts…

Do not work there, but have heard generally positive things. Comp is above market. Summer retreat in Europe every year. Market themselves as being very operationally focused.

Interested to hear about the culture, but I imagine it would be in line with other mega funds from an hours perspective. It is European based though so don’t know if that would have any influence over things possibly be a little more laid back

Work at peer large cap fund. Tech team very chill from what I've heard.

EQT corporate PE is a top notch offer. Not really others that are objectively better with the exception of maybe the corporate private equity groups of bx / kkr, maybe Apollo? Though APO is just brutal from what I've heard secondhand

EQT has inconsistent b school placement (generally Euro MFs have below average b-school placement vs American peers). Comp in line with street, mid 300s starting out for first year Aso.

They do tons of offsites and used to fly their associates in private jets to their offsites. Euro MFs tend to do that. CVC goes skiing in Switzerland, Permira rented out a few private islands in Venice for offsite. Apax probably does something similar. Not sure if they still do that given fundraising environment
