Exit Intern Opportunities

Hey everyone, so I just got the word that I am most likely going to be working at a middle market Private Equity firm in Manhattan, NYC. I am wondering what would my intern tasks and responsibilities entail if I am just a freshman intern . In addition, how great is the potential for my freshman internship to lead to more extensive exit opportunities for my sophomore year.

I think it really depends on your managers is the short answer. In general freshmen wouldn't be given too much responsibilities and don't even think about modeling and all that. That being said, if you could prove yourself, they shouldn't have any problems in giving you more responsibilities and might include you on more intricate parts of the deal process (assuming that's what you want to get out of it).

Do speak to previous interns if you can find them on LinkedIn!
