Exiting From Top Secondaries Advisory Firm
I have a 2026 return offer to join a top secondaries advisory firm (e.g. Evercore PCA, PJT Park Hill, Campbell Lutyens). However, in the long-term, I want to go down the entrepreneurship route either building a business or a fund. I'm aware secondaries is very specialised but I'm also not averse to staying in the field. Yet I don't see how it links to business building where a path into direct PEs would. I'm honestly not sure what my next career step should be - how long should I stay in this firm? What should I exit to? Looking for any advice and perspective.
