Final round 2 weeks ago, no answer

I interviewed with a Canadian fund two weeks ago. Went through all the ~6 stages (case study, etc). My final round 2 weeks ago. I actually had a good feeling about how it went. Somehow I never heard back.

I sent a follow up after 3/4 days to their internal recruiter to see when I should expect to hear back. Still nothing.

I know they are interviewing people that are at earlier stages (their PA sent me the wrong invite by mistake).

At this point it’s been 2 weeks. They didn’t even tell me if the position is filled or not. I’m no longer really hoping but I find it a bit rude to ghost your candidates.

what is your take on this?
