Finance Bro ghosted me??

Idk why I'm posting this here but I need full blunt honesty.

Last week, we made plans for this weekend and confirmed over text. But he hasn't replied to my last text from couple days ago. Did he ghost me? It is already Friday. Should I still go out with him this weekend?

Context:

  • He is Aso1 at MM PE.
  • I am IB SA and studying finance so I know how demanding the job is.
  • We've been dating/hooking up for 2ish months now.
  • He's probably seeing other girls. I've been on dates with other guys but I like him the most.
  • I want a relationship but idk what he wants. We haven't talked about it :(

I understand taking 12-24 hrs to reply because I get busy too and tend to forget. Also I'll experience the demanding nature of finance soon so I'm understanding of taking like 12hrs to reply.

But ghosted for 3+ days and no reply is excessive. Can someone else confirm or is this common? What could possibly be the explanation?

Idk if he's working on a deal right now, but even then, he shouldn't ghost me for 3+ days. Maybe he just doesn't like me.

Ahh thank goodness you mentioned he’s at MM and his class year… this would be an entirely different situation if he was an Apollo baller or at Pershing with Billy A.

No sister in all seriousness — I don’t know you so maybe this is wrong but the way you articulate this and the fact that you posted this on the PE forum of wallstreet oasis instead of Reddit or something makes it sound like you’re looking for the wrong things in guys.

Yes find someone new and also maybe reflect on what you want and why (not going to even get into the whole monogamy vs not aspect of this )

is this even a real metric? every girl i talk to has this on hinge. even i have 100+ and im an average looking non-white dude

Sorry, sounds like you weren’t a mission-critical asset, you failed the stress test, and are now in the distressed category.

For future relationships that you want to be long duration, while he’s focused on loans pegged to LIBOR, you need to be focused on pegging him. You need wide spreads and deep positions. A higher degree of penetration will reduce churn. Better luck next time and hope you find something synergistic/NPV positive in the future.

I've been on dates with other guys but I like him the most.

W finance bro

No he probably is…even if he’s completely slammed he could text “really busy talk later” and it would take him 2 seconds

Maybe he wants someone that wants to be a wife and not a banking bro.

Only two sources I trust, Glenn Beck and singing woodland creatures.
