New Water is another LMM fund (partners used to be at Sun)
Comvest and West Palm Beach Capital is down there. Great Hill Partners has an office in Fort Lauderdale also although I think it’s a remote office that a couple of seniors use - no juniors.
Thanks everyone for the names; a few were on the list already, but some were not. I specifically think New Water looks interesting and is still relatively new.
If anyone has any qualitative/general assessments of the various funds mentioned here, I would REALLY appreciate it. If you don’t want to share publicly, I’d appreciate a PM. It’s been hard to get info on the market down there and “who is who” if you know what I mean.
I have heard good things about Trivest, in terms of both culture and returns. I think a few of those other firms were also started by ex-Trivest people, I know Brockway Moran was
Boyne was started by Derrick McDowell, ex TriVest. I think Boyne is doing well, and TriVest has a solid reputation/good track record. Don’t have any insight on the others.
