Getting into PE as a 30 year old

Ok, so my goal is to get into VC/PE.

Here's my background: I'm a 30 year old working for a corporate finance advisory firm (capital market investments and corporate strategy, that sort of thing), currently taking my CFA L1, and now I'm considering starting an MBA at a top tier bschool next year after reading a lot of the positive comments about it on here. I have over 6 years of experience in finance, ranging from Wealth Management to Investment Management, with a bachelors degree in Banking and Finance at a decent university.

My route is obviously very untraditional, but I want to know what is the most efficient way to get into VC/PE considering my circumstances?

Shall I do the CFA only? MBA only? both? none? Is my experience OK or shall I get a job before the VC/PE job, if so, which job?

I am super conflicted right now and kinda stuck. Any suggestions and advice would be highly appreciated, so I can finally get some clarity.

Thank you in advance :)
