GIPS: IRR for less than 1 yr
Hi there, Let's say I invest 100 on Dec 31 '24 and I get back my full investment at a 1.30x (130) on June 30 '25. My MOIC is 1.30x but my IRR is 70% - is it appropriate to list 70% as my IRR within a performance presentation even though the investment was fully realized within 1 year?
According to GIPS it would not be acceptable to list an IRR greater than its MOIC (30%) if the investment is realized within a year Thanks
Have you heard of the XIRR Excel function?
Yes I arrived that that IRR using XIRR in excel, obviously. I am talking about GIPS / most appropriate ways to show the return
