Has anyone heard back on H1-B results?
Would be helpful to know which firm / group. Also which immigration lawyer if applicable. Thank you.

Typically, your body is to be cremated before the end of your current work authorization
Won - EB in NY (1st year), as far as I know only one other person in our office got it this year. Some guys are on their last year so we will see how it plays out

Didn't win, last year of OPT. Firm (PE) is getting the internal ball rolling on moving me to the London office (same team / strategy) but nothing set in stone yet.
did you ask to apply to GC? or did they say if they will bring you back?
Haven't discussed, looking at London as a permanent solution.
Hey can I PM you how you got the current PE job without H1B on hand when applying? Also mind sharing the name of the PE or even general info about the firm MF/UMM/MM NYC/SF Buyout/Growth etc?
I did on-cycle, no special process. Was upfront with headhunters about sponsorship. NYC MF.
What is the typical acceptance rate of H1B visas? Does your position/firm matter a lot ?
The firm itself doesn't matter as long as the paperwork is filed correctly.
But, some beneficiaries file with multiple sponsors each year, especially with Indian IT firms. This will have an impact.
Haven’t heard back yet but firm will move me to London for a year and bring me back if I don’t get it since it’s my last chance. Not the same for another analyst in my group (who basically got told no) so think it’s dependent on performance at my firm / group.
