Can confirm there are a lot of Canadians and Asian passport (excluding PRC) holders at Brookfield, KKR, Silver Lake, Ares, General Atlantic, and also Permira
the last 4 years under Dems might be ok, next term under what's likely going to be Rep is going to be tough. Lots of them are going to go back to just hiring US workers as was the case when Trump was in his first term.

Really? Were most firms on Wall Street a lot more reluctant to sponsor during the Trump presidency?
Absolute BS, as an international I can tell you that nothing has changed under this admin vs the other admin when it comes to H1B visas.
Processes for green cards slowed down under trump and never picked back up under Biden.
Whoever makes you believe that Dems are better than Reps for visas are lying. They are both equally shit.
Are you a Canadian intern? If you don’t mind me asking, how’d you land a role at BX NY? I’ve only seen a handful of interns from Ivey / Queens / UW end up at BX. What was your interview process like and did you ever feel like you were at a disadvantage being from a non-US school?
Know a couple of ppl got in through a cold app. BX/KKR aren’t network heavy at least at analyst level so you basically need to lock down a respectable sophomore SA (big 5, Altas, OTPP, Imperial, etc)
Not Canadian, but international. Target or not, every single intern at BX I met are incredibly smart, so the bar to entry is really high. Echoing the comment above, yes a lot of people got in through cold applying, but you don't need a too-reputable sophomore SA. I saw people with non-profit work in their sophomore summers, it's a matter of how well you can crush these interviews.
Vista does not sponsor. Less certain on Spectrum and GA but have seen the former hire intl part time interns. The rest all sponsor as far as I am aware
Does anyone have any colors on MM firms like Stone Point, Constitution Capital, Monomoy Capital, and Audax Group? Also curious to hear insights on PC firms(HPS, Antares, Golub) sponsorship status!
Google H1B data info. Department of Labor is required to file every H1b application publically so you can look up each company to see what role/pay/city/year they filed an H1B for an applicant to see who is open to sponsor as there is precedent.
You can also download a Google chrome plugin that works on LinkedIn that shows you if a company has sponsored H1B before on open jobs as it scrapes the public data from the above. Good luck.

would you say it's similar for indians? are they less represented as well because of the immigration backlog?
Bumping this, in the same shoes as well

This didn’t age well
Can confirm BX sponsors. Source: I’m interning there

You need to be a generational talent
How you like BXCI Mr. Generational Talent
"generational talent"
Whenever this person gets mentioned I let out a nice chuckle
how do you know hes at bxci and not like bcp or something

CD&R does
Vista does sponsor for full time I'm a Canadian on H1B working for them right now. For the intern program we don't take internationals.
Do you know if they sponsor British/ UK nationals?

Audax sponsors

What’s the name of the chrome plugin?
“Ultimate H1B Sponsor Checker”
The issue with this is, it says which firm sponsors, not the department.
For instance, Barclays Capital will sponsor for their IT department not for IB and will still be included.
The pay should be a giveaway
The data online also posts the role they hired for. Investment Associate/VP vs IT specialist etc will also help differentiate
Does Partners Group sponsor OPT?
