Help needed - which offer to choose
Hi everyone,
Long story short, I was fortunate enough to land a few offers while recruiting for PE. One is for a regional fund and the other for a global MF.
If I'm being honest, I felt the culture fit at the regional fund was better vs. the global and the deal flow has been good as well. I felt the global MF was less of a fit for me, but I guess there is that "prestige" or "brand" element associated with a global MF. Could I get some advice as to what you might do in my situation? Thanks!
I would say go with your gut. Fit with culture is important. My understanding is that regional / local players would probably have better networks and sourcing advantage.
Would say go for the regional shop. Cannot emphasize how important culture and experience is versus name brand imo. You could make the argument name brand matters if you wanted to go to b-school outside of Asia, but shitty deal flow will do you a disservice regardless.
