Hiring Analysts without Recruiter
At a recently started PE shop and looking to hire our first analyst. Open to either undergrads fresh out of college or IB analysts with a year of experience. This would be a 2-year analyst program with potentially a path to stay longer. Not looking to use a recruiter because the cost just doesn’t make sense. Anyone here have experience with this and how to build a pipeline of candidates for interviews?
Got hired at a fund out of school last year that did the same exact thing. Would target 5 ish target schools and use their career portals and or investment clubs to get applicants.
LinkedIn also helps. At a portco, but whenever we need to add to the team, we do a job posting directly on LinkedIn and then have everyone on the team repost. You get a lot of junk in there, but most of us got hired like this.
Reach out to investment clubs at schools you want to target. Usually club leaders emails are available on the websites. Word will get around campus through them
Also … a first year PE analyst looking to make a move. Lemme know OP
