how should i get the most out of banking to prep for PE?

hey guys — wanted some seniors advice on this. Want to know what should i be focusing on during my time in IB to be well prepped for Pe. was fortunate to get an offer and just hit the desk. from what i’ve heard, getting a good training = do hard stuff / do a wide variety of things / read a lot etc. but what does this mean in practice? obviously i can’t raise my hand for every staffing so want to understand how should i decide which staffings to go for? i presume getting “live deal” experience is great but not the only bench mark since a lot of that is process management. is there something i should be reading? are there certain things i can do in my own time to prep?

hope i don’t get shit posts for this — i’m genuinely looking for advice / not trying to be “hardo”, i just want to try and make the most out of this opportunity. any advice given will go a long way. thank u
