How to do a paper LBO?

Also, when you calculate levered free cash flow as part of the process for a paper LBO, do you use EBT plus depreciation and amortization minus capex minus net change in working capital or do you use net income plus depreciation and amortization minus capex minus net change in working capital? I have seen both EBT and net income being utilized but now I am confused
