How to improve portfolio?

Hi everyone, would love to get some advice on how i can improve on my portfolio. I am interested in PE, PC, distressed debt. Im in a bit of a unique situation, I'm currently serving my 2 year mandatory military service (1 year 2 months left) and I am thinking if theres any certificates or anything I could do to improve my portfolio. I am currently studying for my CAIA L2, and was wondering what future steps I could take. Was looking at doing the Wharton PE programme but saw a lot of posts saying its not worth the money. Thanks guys!
