I just joined a Client Portfolio Management team (CPM) in a Private Credit/Direct Lending shop straight out of undergrad. What are my exit opps in 2-3 years?

Think (Hamilton Lane/Ares etc.) Can I lateral over to PM at a BB or big AM or M&A or PE in a FO investing role? Worried that I am getting pigeon-holed rn, pls help thx

I would assume you should be able to exit into a similar portfolio management role at other firms or banks, given the work is similar. I'd assume you could try and lateral to an IB and start as an analyst as well. I wouldn't bank on being able to transition to many places, especially PE, in an investing role. I don't ever like using the word impossible, but going straight to a PE Associate role at any reputable/decent firm would be near impossible for you. You will be at a disadvantage since I can't imagine you will get any experience with modeling/financial analysis or even simply thinking like an investor. If you were on the credit/direct lending teams at either of the two places you mentioned, you'd have a shot, but I don't think its really possible from a client portfolio team.
