Great place to work with a history of solid returns. The culture is also really good with everyone making you feel welcome and a part of the team.
Historically their strategy has worked pretty well for them, and unless I'm mistaken, I don't see the traditional roll-up strategy going away anytime soon, so I think it's good on that front.

Thanks for this. How long ago was your internship? How late would ASOs, Sr. ASOs, VPs, and Principals work?
They only take 6 interns a year, so I won't give too much away. But I was there fairly recently.
In terms of hours, it's definitely on the higher end of MM PE in Toronto (from my understanding atleast):
AN/AS/Senior AS: 60-70 on average, could go to 80+ in live deals
VP: ~60 on average, 70+ on live deals
Principal+: ~40-50 on average, Probably around 60 during deals (not the most visibility here but I think this is in the ballpark)
I rarely worked weekends, but I do think that full-timers did during live deals.
What were your hours as an intern? Weekend work?

Are these the guys that call a thousand mom and pops across the continent to roll up? Heard they’ve had great returns but that strategy seems tedious and probably not for everyone. Heard associate lay is like low $200k all in, pretty similar to the other MMs in Canada. Upward mobility seems questionable as they’ve brought in several seniors externally recently
They tend to fire after two years pretty often after doing a quick LinkedIn search.
I think 2 year programs are common for a lot of the Toronto MMs
~200 for ASO1 same for other MMs in Canada
Roll up strategies in general having/had a hard time with rate hikes. With rates coming down, will be interesting to see if/when it all rebounds
solid shop. have models if you need them
