Small Industrial Acquisitions ($10m-$20m) Experience And How It Is Perceived
Thinking of joining a fund that focuses on smaller industrial transactions. Part of the job would be sourcing which I have little experience in.
Will the experience be valuable down the road if the acquisition size varies from 10m-20m? Will sourcing be hard as hell at this size?
Uhhhhhh I guess I am shadowbanned? Where the hell is my thread at?
Depends what sort of deals you’re looking for - core, core plus, value add, redevelopment? Obviously the more work needed, the more deals there are, and vice versa. What market and what YOC or IRR do they underwrite to? Might be a little sweaty to operate a shop at that deal size and feed all the mouths.
They have funds for value add and core from my understanding.
Yes it’s good experience. Sourcing is sourcing. A $100M deal is like a $10M deal just one more zero. It’s all the same. Buy lower then you sell for. Frankly, the fund you are joining is the size and type of deal I want to be working on at my next company.
Thanks!
Bumping since I got moved to a more active forum.
