Incoming C&R IB / Do I have a chance at Tech PE MF on-cycle?

I am an incoming Consumer & Retail analyst at a Top EB/BB. However, I am more interested in tech PE and want to be in the tech sector long term. Do you have a shot at landing a MF Tech group offer at on-cycle assuming that I fulfill the other requirements (Target School + Solid GPA & Experience)? Do you have any advice on how I can position myself better for the on-cycle to get a Tech group offer?
