Incoming MBA Asc - buyside oops?

I am an incoming MBA associate at a good/top IB group in NYC.

What are my options for buyside opportunities? I’m pretty open-minded, I don’t mind doing credit, anything with good prospects really.

For those that were at EBs or top BBs, where did you see Ascs and VPs exit to?

Without pre-MBA PE experience I’d think UMM / MF PE will be difficult but think MM / LMM PE and private credit would be fair game. FWIW I’ve seen former MBA associates from my BB go to LMM shops. Currently work at a MF and have yet to meet someone in large cap PE who broke into the industry post-MBA without investing experience pre-MBA. FWIW I think you should feel good about your odds as long as you’re not super hung up on “prestige” as many on this site are
