Independent Sponsor - Looking for partners

Hi Everyone,

It looks like there has been a lot of activity as of late with the whole independent/fundless sponsor model, so I thought I would continue the trend on another front.

We are looking to bring in new partners for our independent sponsor that has gained some nice traction this year since our launch in March. Our firm has developed partnerships with 3 large $1B-$3B funds to execute middle-market buyout and minority growth equity deals. Our focus is on sourcing proprietary platform deals that we can buy-and-build through bolt-on acquisitions. We are currently focused on companies with $50m-$250m in revenue with $5m-$50m in EBITDA, located in the US and Canada. The industries of choice are manufacturing, business services, software and IT-managed services. We have also explored healthcare services related to physician practice management.

Compensation is structured differently for each arrangement we have, however, we use a subscription model/monthly retainer that we have negotiated with the sponsors to provide them with a pre-determined number of deals per quarter. We participate in the equity promote that provides the bulk of the compensation and aligns our interests with our partners, but the subscription keeps the lights on.

The firm has yet to close a transaction as we are still relatively new, but are currently working through some interesting opportunities with our partners that we expect to bear fruit in the near future. We would strongly consider including new partners in these opportunities.

Our main goal is to find potential partners that can contribute value in different ways. Whether that be assisting with the due diligence or sourcing, to managing sponsor relationships to eventually assisting in the management of the portfolio companies we acquire with our partners. I'm open to all types who are able to add-value and who we can add value to as well. (We prefer the Associate-up to-Director experience, but are open to different levels of experience)

Please DM me if you'd like to discuss the firm and what we are looking to accomplish.

Thanks!
