Insights on Digital Bridge / Colony?

Received a headhunter email for them last week, but haven't been able to find much info on these guys.

They've been in the news recently for leading a pretty big consortium deal with Stonepeak and EQT and raised ~$4b for their first fund. Seem to fly pretty under the radar though.

Anybody have any insights on culture, comp, reputation, etc? What's the relationship with Colony Capital like?

Hi NYsummertimechi, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)

Hope that helps.

ye sorry cant comment on that, i spoke when them a few times when i was pitching them a DC project, they seemed like one of the most knowledgeable firms in the space. Lots of other PEs are trying to get into the space but there its very hard as there are not that many good DC assets, most of which already have good capital partners.

The other tech PEs that were tryign to get in were really underwhelming in terms of knowing how the space works. Its crazy how some ppl become partners and rich af in these MM firms with a tech focus without knowing shit about how data centers work lol

Ok agreed but to be honest there is nothing really too complicated about data centres

You got floor space, you got power and security clients need to pay + perhaps interconnects if we talking equinix or Interxion.

I am not a very big fan of vanilla DCs but edge DCs or smth like What Telecom Italia did with Google in Italy could be interesting
