Is your guys submitted work “flawless”?
Coming from IB PE has hit me super hard and kind of a nervous wreck.
I’ll submit materials with like 30+ items / things and I will get every number right every thing else all perfect but I’ll get 1-3 items wrong that my VP marks.
I know it depends how severe and serious the items are that I am getting wrong, and I dont really have a specific example, but these 1-2 things I get wrong out of 50+ correct make me lose sleep drive me insane and cause me to be stressed out to the max. Want to hear thoughts. Thanks
No one wants to check my work so we all just assume I’m right all the time (I’m definitely not but usually close enough for it not to make a difference)
Probably firm specific, but at my shop no one cares about minor nits, but you better get the material drivers right. And per the other post, no one is checking your work. People only know when you screwed up the when it actually impacts a bid or investment in a material way.
It will take some time to get your accuracy level up and then secondly your "instincts" I.e. knowing what to check, knowing what range the answer is likely to be, knowing what might raise flags for senior people and pre checking/answering those items etc.
