Junior at US undergrad – MF Asia internship this summer, how transferable for NA BB/PE FT?

I’m a US undergrad junior interning this summer at a MF Asia office (KKR/TPG/BX). I’m realizing Asia PE FT is extremely competitive, so I’m thinking about NA options. How transferable is this experience? For US BB IB FT, would this help or is prior US IB still needed? For US PE FT, does it carry weight, or is IB → PE still the main path? Any insights appreciated.
