LA BX/APO/Carlyle
Have heard that BX, APO, and Carlyle all have LA offices but have no idea what they focus on. Does anyone have any insights into these three funds in LA specifically? Is it just credit and tiny teams or is it more fleshed out? Any insight whatsoever would be incredibly helpful
If anyone also has insight into KKR LA that would also be helpful
lol is there actually a Blackstone LA office
yes, but mostly real estate - no corp PE
bump
Ares has buyout fund in LA
Apollo LA has a whole PE team run by Munfakh that is an extension of its NYC PE team. No sector specialization but a lot of their industrials, airlines, etc. stuff is looked at from there.
Edit: just looked Munfakh up on LinkedIn and guess they moved him to Miami. Anyway point is, Apollo LA is regular PE.
Heard that guy is absolutely insane
Let's hear some juicy gossip. What is this forum here for otherwise?
how large is Apollo LA for associates? Heard its only 1-2 per year but I might have outdated info
Andy Jhawar is a beast too, based in LA, retail and consumer focused
