To accept or to not accept - Lateral PE AS2

I could use some unbiased feedback on the below options, especially from individuals who have considered/taken lateral PE paths.

1. Current Role AS2 at Small LMM PE Firm (Tier 3 City, $150 - 250 fund size)

  • Young firm, growing, average returns
  • $150k - $200k TC
  • Clear path to VP with no requirement for MBA
  • I am well regarded by team, okay culture, solid WLB (50-60 / week)
  • Good experience (high deal volume) and involvement in nearly all aspects of investments

2. Offer for AS2 at Large LMM Firm (Tier 1 City, $750 - $1B fund size)

  • Very well established firm (better brand name than current, 10+ funds), good track record, recent fund was an upsize
  • $200k - $250k TC (higher cost of living than current)
  • Path to VP with no MBA requirement
  • Strong culture, solid WLB (50-70 / week)
  • Structured role with limitations on exposure when compared to current role
