Small firm which leads to great senior exposure (Associates involved in IC, Alan Goldberg still involved day to day, Jack Lew - former treasury secretary under Obama - involved day to day). Understaffed in Covid making sweaty but focused on improving the associate experience. Killer returns recently (40%+ plus). Great expense policy / perks that they can have bc small headcount and private (some perks public PE funds would never be able to offer).

Old school firm that's super stuffy and hasn't really modernized with the times. As other folks have shared, they've got great "perks" similar to other uppity firms like Kelso and Court Square but not sure how much performance has kept up and whether they'll be able to have a successful fundraise (believe they're in market now).

Went through the interview process with them a while back, but ultimately decided to join another firm. They seem nice, definitely do work hard as many here have pointed out.

Incredibly boring people with no dynamism whatsoever, I felt like I was talking to robots throughout my entire process. Perhaps its a reflection of their culture of pedigreed and smart but also stiff and dull people. No knock on them as their returns and fundraising have been good and they pay well.
