List of Large Co-Investment / Secondary / Fund of Fund Investors

Hi everyone - wanted to reach out to the community to see who the largest co-investment / secondary / fund of fund investors are. Understand the SWFs / pension plans are some of the most prominent investors, but are there any co-investment groups within large investment management firms? Thinking more about trying to lateral from my current MM PE role to a co-investment fund for better work/life balance.

Appreciate the help in advance.

Thanks!

There are at least two other discussions, if not more, happening on this topic right now:

https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/can-you-make-a-career-out-of-a-f… and https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/qa-pevc-fof-principal

But to copy/paste from one of those threads, there's a decent amount of data about analyst/associate comp on both this site and places like Glassdoor. To highlight a few:

Hamilton Lane notoriously pays below market: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/company/hamilton-lane/salary

Stepstone pays better than Hamilton Lanehttps://www.wallstreetoasis.com/company/stepstone-group/salary

HarbourVest is pretty in-line with Stepstone: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/company/harbourvest/salary

BlackRock is somewhere between Hamilton Lane and Stepstone/Harbourvest. As noted above, WLB is not good there: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/company/blackrock/salary/all/all/privat…

Cambridge Associates is more in-line with Hamilton Lane: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/company/cambridge-associates/salary

Pro tip: If you want to be a good analyst, learn how to Google things first before you ask others. The people you work with/for won't like spoon feeding you data that you should be able to easily find yourself.
