London comps PE vs. PC

I’ve heard from a few friends in PC/DL that associate 1 starts at £240k these days and senior associate will be north of £300k. I was quite surprised by these figures. Based on my experience in PE and what I read on WSO, most of mid market funds still pay £90+90 as standard for associate 1. Is PE falling behind PC these days or my data is off?

I’m not surprised DL is lower than MF PE but I’m surprised it’s so much higher than MM PE…

WP pays 300k, Advent is 242k (110 + 120k base) and then goes to 115 + 150% and 120 + 150% for A2 and A3, lastly another US MF is 270k total (incl. signing) and EU UMM 225k (both names removed for anonymity). Feels like most UMM and MF in PE are typically between 240k and 300k total these days

Thanks for inputs. Again I think my philosophical question is: would you rather be in mid market PE or a large DL shop nowadays if my comp info is right? I think there is no doubt MF PE still pays better than PC
