looking for renewables / infra PE

I have ~2 years of experience at a listed renewables IPP doing development where I've been promoted once. ~50% of my time is spent working on securing power purchase agreements for our early stage development projects and the remainder 50% trying to acquire development and operational stage assets (have so far been in 4 M&A processes that didn't end up going anywhere). At the IPP, 70-80% of my time is spent modeling... I also have 3 years of experience in IB in TMT and FIG.
Looking for PE roles where I can join as an Associate. I think this is very doable from my end, but would love to get a reality check from those who are plugged into this space.

Not impossible, I know a handful of people that switched from industry to buy-side roles. You just gotta network, work extra hard, and destroy the case studies (infra funds can be very model intensive, which tends to weed out candidates). DM if interested in infra modelling tests / cases for some funds.
