Lower MM PE opportunity - exit opps?
Hey guys,
I currently have an opportunity for a job with a lower MM PE fund. My longer term goal is ultimately to be at a fundamental value or activist hedge fund (all equity space).
This lower MM PE fund focuses specifically on MBO's, family successions, and growth capital. Can I do a year or two here and make a successful transition to these HF's? Any tips?
Hi therealgekko, any of these discussions helpful:

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
I'm in MM to lower MM PE and I get hit up by Hedge Fund recruiters all the time. I've taken a few conversations, but haven't pursued them further as I don't want to work at a Hedge Fund.
Seems like as long as you're polishing your hedge fund skills on the side the move shouldn't be too bad.
Gotcha, thanks for the input. My GPA is a 3.4, do you think this presents any problems for HF recruiting?
