MBA PE Hiring Market

Current second-year MBAs, how is recruiting going at your school? At HSW and have seen tons of highly qualified classmates and friends at peer schools (from great funds / PE backgrounds) graduate with an investing job. Only a handful of friends interned in PE this summer, and almost none got a return offer - feel like PE conversion to full-time offers are rare. HHs have mentioned 2025 may be better, but this remains to be seen. How are folks' mindsets entering this recruiting cycle?

Tons of friends graduated *with* or *without* an investing job? Cuz in my year (just graduated from one of those) it’s *without*, even with decent experience (or in a geo/focus that isn’t ideal).

They say Labor Day will pick up, but we’ll see if that happens. just keep warm on the HH’s…I hear some 2025 processes may be starting so you guys might be OK. Lot of us in my class are feeling fucked.
