MBB or MM PE analyst post undergrad

Title pretty much covers it, trying to weigh these options. I definitely am interested in PE but am not 100% set on it.

Would I potentially be able to break into MF PE from either? I like the idea of having a shot at this, but even if I don't land a BX or KKR type shop, I think I would still feel satisfied and find the work interesting at any solid MM/UMM fund (specifically do like many of the consulting friendly places anyways)

Ik there's some older posts similar to this topic but still not that much info so bringing it up again

I'm 100% sure that you can go to a MF from MBB, as I had several classmates at my MBB do it.

I'm not 100% sure that you can do the same from a MM Analyst position. This isn't because I've seen it be difficult for people, this is just ignorance and I'm just straight up unsure.

MBB leaves the door open for PE and everything else, so it seems like a much better option than pigeon-holing early in your career.

Remember, always be kind-hearted.
