MF PC vs DB/JEF/Gugg

Have SA offers from both and want to gauge what can be the better choice for a summer. I know I want my to be in investing but don’t yet know the strategy/asset class. How do exit opps compare between the two? Is MF PE possible?

Do you know what groups you would be in at these banks? Does location matter to you?

Barclays and Gugg are in the same league with similar exits (mostly MM/UMM, few MF). Jeff is slightly worse in terms of exits. DB historically was one of the best banks but not sure I would go there now, although their exits are still decent. Full-time IB recruiting will be difficult regardless given the people who didn't get return offers, people looking to upgrade, or people who interned in PE. PC skills are less translatable than you think unless to an RX / Lev Fin group. But maybe full-time IB recruiting will be easier when you graduate in 2025

MF PC would be better than those MMs, can always recruit FT to banking with a MF name.

Would take MF PC. Your banking offers suck tbf. MF PC to IB is tried and true.

Those are great IB offers. It's not like consulting (where you only have MBB but a million cities), for banking there's 10-15 reputable banks but 2-3 cities. MF credit to IB isn't tried and true unless you do it sophomore summer in which case any finance experience is good

If you don't want to do PC, I'd take IB. Even though PC SA -> IB is not uncommon, it's will arguably be the same if not easier to lateral up market to a better IB from one of the banks u listed. And in case re-recruiting doesn't work you have a solid IB shop that will get you on cycle looks from most UMMs and some MF(depending on group). Also to add, MF PE from a standard PC role (not special sits) will be tough and most of your PE looks will be down market.
