Moving from a developing country to work at a Candian PE firm

I am currently a 1st year analyst at a small PE firm, based in a developing country. We have a lot of projects in the pipeline, and I am expecting to have ~$900M worth of buyside acquisition experience at the end of my two years. While I am blessed to have a job like this in my country, I do not want to spend all my 20s here.

Canada seems to be one of the few developed nations that have lenient immigration policies. My plan is to gain 2 years of work experience, move to Canada to do an MBA (which will grant me a 3 year work pass) and work at a PE firm after graduation.

However, I realise that there are way fewer PE firms in Canada as compared to countries like the U.S.

Would it be very difficult for me to join a PE firm in Canada post-MBA? Would being an immigrant make it tougher (assuming I have work pass)? Would graduating from a top MBA like Rotman increase my chances?

Curious to hear if anyone can relate to this. Any advice is appreciated.
