Can anyone provide insight on getting into energy / infra PE without an energy / infra IB or PE background - and in particular, firms with NYC locations?
For context - recently started as an Associate at a software-focused firm, and realizing I am more interested in the energy / infra space. Before this did 2 years in IB in a non-energy / infra focused coverage group.
