Thoughts on a Valuations Analyst role at a top PE fund in their finance division? For context I'd be coming from a finance group at a large IB. Ideally I'd love to get into front office banking/private equity. Do you think the Valuations role is better than waiting and trying to make the extremely difficult move from finance to front office at an IB?

Highly unlikely that you'll be able to make the switch. You need to move to a small IB in a front office role. Then lateral to a better bank. And then maybe move to PE.
