Opportunities for legal work at PE firms?

30 years old, graduated from a non-target in 2017, worked a couple years in middle office at a BB and a few more years in biz dev as a software vendor for PE firms at both a large tech firm and a smaller established company with a niche product.

Currently enrolled as a part time law student at a large state law school just outside of the T50 that places well in my state.  I travel a lot in my current role and just want to do something new.  I have relationships at a good deal of PE shops in my state and NYC

My questions is - how feasible is it for PE shops to have roles supporting their counsel/legal departments for students currently enrolled in a JD program?  I know it's probably not realistic but wanted to gauge if anyone has ever seen anything like this.
